Harder Kulm
It takes just eight minutes to travel by funicular from Interlaken to the Harder Kulm, Interlaken’s home mountain, where the restaurant, at 1322 metres above sea level, is reminiscent of a small castle.
The Harder Kulm is the starting point for several mountain hikes. It also affords wonderful views of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau as well as Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. It is a venue for regular folklore evenings. Children will love letting off steam in the playground.

Day of the Harder railway - 15th May 2012
Today, the trip up the Harder is by a state-of-the-art, computer-controlled funicular railway. And we could almost forget that the journey on Interlaken's home mountain can look back on a long history: red carriages have been travelling between Interlaken Ost and the Harder Kulm for over 100 years. On 15 May, the anniversary of its opening day, a Harder excursion is especially attractive: tickets are available at the special price of 10 or 5 francs.
The offer is valid on Sunday 15 May 2012. -
